Resource is committed to promoting waste minimisation in our community. We provide a range of educational experiences for all ages including Tip Shop Tours and Creative and Practical Workshops in our Education Centre.
Our Workshops are perfect for Tasmanian schools, home-school and community groups as they provide the opportunity to discuss issues relating to sustainability and responsible waste management. We provide tutors, facilities and materials and can tailor an activity to suit you and your group. Most workshops are delivered at the South Hobart Tip Shop, however, we can deliver workshops at schools, organisations or events.
The education packages are tailored to participant needs:
School Students - early childhood, primary, secondary, college and university
Teachers - familiarising teachers and educators with the recycled materials for teaching
Community - events, festivals and organisational activities
Business - opportunities for team building, recycling education
The school workshops are aligned to the Australian Curriculum and the Early Years Learning Framework, start at 60 mins in length. To find out more about our Creative Reuse Education Workshops click here!
